Pregnancy test is the confirmation test for a woman concerning her pregnancy. Pregnancy can be confirmed by certain chemical markers that are found in urine and blood. Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) hormone is a glycoprotein which is secreted by the tropoblast cells after the fertilization. Only after the implantation hCG will be secreted and the test will produce positive result. The gradual increase in the hCG level in the urine during gestational development is acting as the reliable marker to detect and confirm the pregnancy.
