Rapid 1-panel urine drug screening
Detects Fentanyl (FTY)
Results available in approximately 5 minutes
Requires only a small urine specimen
Simple collect, add sample, and read procedure
Easy-to-read qualitative results
Available in multiple panel configurations
Suitable for professional point-of-care testing
Intended for in vitro diagnostic use
Preliminary positive results should be confirmed by GC-MS or LC-MS/MS
The iCassette™ Urine Test Drug Screen Cassette uses lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay technology to detect Fentanyl and its metabolites in human urine. After a urine specimen is collected, a few drops are added to the sample well on the cassette. The urine migrates across the test membrane, where specific antibodies react with the target analyte.
If the fentanyl concentration is below the established screening cutoff level, both the Control (C) and Test (T) lines appear, indicating a negative result. If the fentanyl concentration is equal to or greater than the cutoff concentration, only the Control (C) line appears, indicating a preliminary positive result.
As this device provides only a preliminary screening result, any positive finding should be confirmed using Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) or Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) before making medical, legal, or employment decisions
Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid that is approximately 50 to 100 times more potent than morphine. It is prescribed to manage severe pain, particularly in cancer patients or following major surgery, when other pain medications are not sufficient. Because of its extreme potency, fentanyl must be used only under close medical supervision.
In recent years, illicitly manufactured fentanyl has become a major contributor to opioid overdose deaths worldwide. It is frequently mixed with heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, or counterfeit prescription pills, often without the user's knowledge. Even a very small amount can cause life-threatening respiratory depression, making fentanyl one of the most dangerous opioids currently encountered in clinical and forensic settings.
Due to the growing public health concern surrounding fentanyl misuse and overdose, many hospitals, rehabilitation centers, law enforcement agencies, and workplace drug testing programs now include fentanyl screening as part of routine urine drug testing

Fentanyl and its metabolites are generally detectable in urine for 1–3 days after use. In individuals who use fentanyl frequently or over a prolonged period, the detection window may be longer depending on the amount used, frequency of use, metabolism, and overall health.
The iCassette™ Urine Test Drug Screen Cassette (1 Panel – Fentanyl) provides a rapid, accurate, and reliable solution for the preliminary detection of fentanyl (FTY) in human urine. Designed with a simple drop-and-read procedure, the cassette requires only a small urine specimen and delivers qualitative results in approximately 5 minutes, making it ideal for professional point-of-care testing.
Its easy-to-use design, multiple configuration options, and dependable performance make it well suited for hospitals, clinical laboratories, rehabilitation centers, occupational health clinics, workplace drug testing programs, and forensic applications. As with all rapid immunoassay screening devices, any preliminary positive result should be confirmed using Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) or Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) before medical, legal, employment, or forensic decisions are made.
The iCassette™ Urine Test Drug Screen Cassette is a rapid, one-step urine drug screening device designed to provide fast, accurate, and reliable preliminary detection of Fentanyl (FTY) and its metabolites in human urine. Using advanced lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay technology, the cassette delivers preliminary qualitative results in approximately 5 minutes, making it suitable for professional point-of-care drug testing.
The test requires only a small urine specimen, making the screening process simple, convenient, and efficient. Its drop-and-read format minimizes handling while providing clear, easy-to-interpret results for healthcare professionals and trained testing personnel.
The iCassette™ Urine Test Drug Screen Cassette is available in a wide variety of single-drug and multi-drug configurations, allowing organizations to select the panel that best meets their screening requirements. This 1-Panel configuration is specifically designed to detect Fentanyl (FTY), a highly potent synthetic opioid that has become an important target in workplace, clinical, emergency, and forensic drug testing.
This assay provides preliminary qualitative screening results only. Any preliminary positive result should be confirmed using a more specific analytical technique such as Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) or Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) before medical, legal, or employment decisions are made.
Designed for professional in vitro diagnostic use, the iCassette™ provides a reliable and efficient solution for rapid urine drug screening in hospitals, physician offices, rehabilitation centers, occupational health clinics, correctional facilities, and clinical laboratories
This 1 Panel configuration screens for:
Fentanyl (FTY)
Drug Typical Detection Window
Fentanyl (FTY) 1–3 Days*
*The detection window may vary depending on the amount used, frequency of use, metabolism, body mass, kidney function, and overall health. Chronic or heavy users may remain positive for a longer period.
Negative Result
A colored line appears in both the Control (C) region and the Test (T) region. Even a faint Test (T) line should be interpreted as a negative result, indicating that the fentanyl concentration is below the established screening cutoff level.
Preliminary Positive Result
Only one colored line appears in the Control (C) region, while no line appears in the Test (T) region. This indicates that the fentanyl concentration may be at or above the screening cutoff level. All preliminary positive results should be confirmed using Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) or Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) before medical, legal, or employment decisions are made.
Invalid Result
If no colored line appears in the Control (C) region, the test is invalid regardless of whether a Test line appears. Repeat the test using a new cassette and a fresh urine specimen
