The Methadone (MTD) Drug Test Card uses a lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay to detect Methadone in human urine. Simply dip the absorbent end of the test card into the urine specimen for the recommended time, then place it on a clean, flat surface while the reaction develops. Results are typically available within 5 minutes.
This test provides a preliminary analytical result only. Any preliminary positive result should be confirmed using a laboratory confirmation method such as Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) or Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).

Methadone (MTD) is a long-acting synthetic opioid medication primarily used to treat opioid dependence and moderate to severe chronic pain. It works by acting on the same opioid receptors in the brain as drugs such as heroin, morphine, and oxycodone, helping to reduce withdrawal symptoms and drug cravings without producing the intense euphoric effects associated with many other opioids when used as prescribed.
The Methadone (MTD) Drug Test Card is designed to detect Methadone in human urine at a 300 ng/mL screening cutoff, providing fast and reliable preliminary screening results for workplace, clinical, rehabilitation, forensic, and home drug testing programs.
Methadone has been used in medical practice for decades and is considered an important medication for opioid treatment programs. Under the supervision of qualified healthcare professionals, methadone may be prescribed to:
Treat opioid use disorder (OUD) as part of medication-assisted treatment (MAT)
Reduce opioid withdrawal symptoms
Help decrease opioid cravings
Manage moderate to severe chronic pain
Support long-term recovery programs for individuals with opioid dependence
Because methadone has a long duration of action, it allows many patients to maintain stable symptom control with fewer daily doses than shorter-acting opioids.
Although methadone plays an important role in treating opioid dependence, it can also be misused if taken without medical supervision or in higher doses than prescribed. Like other opioids, methadone has the potential to cause physical dependence, tolerance, and addiction.
Long-term misuse or abuse may lead to:
Excessive drowsiness
Confusion and dizziness
Slowed breathing (respiratory depression)
Nausea and constipation
Physical dependence
Drug tolerance
Increased risk of overdose
Serious complications when combined with alcohol or other sedative medications
Because of these risks, methadone screening is commonly performed in workplace drug testing, pain management clinics, rehabilitation programs, healthcare facilities, and forensic investigations.

Methadone is typically detectable in urine for 3–7 days after use. In individuals receiving long-term methadone therapy, the detection window may be longer depending on dosage, metabolism, frequency of use, and overall health.
The Methadone (MTD) Drug Test Card provides a fast, accurate, and convenient solution for detecting Methadone in human urine. Featuring a 300 ng/mL screening cutoff, a simple dip-and-read procedure, and results available in approximately 5 minutes, it is ideal for workplace drug screening, healthcare facilities, pain management clinics, rehabilitation programs, and home testing. Each test card is individually packaged for single-use convenience and delivers reliable preliminary screening results without requiring specialized laboratory equipment. As with all rapid immunoassay drug screening devices, any preliminary positive result should be confirmed using Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) or Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) before clinical, legal, or employment decisions are made.
The Methadone (MTD) Drug Test Card is a rapid, one-step urine drug screening test designed for the qualitative detection of Methadone (MTD) in human urine. Using a lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay, the test provides reliable preliminary screening results at a 300 ng/mL cutoff concentration without requiring specialized laboratory equipment.
This easy-to-use single-panel drug test features a simple dip-and-read procedure and delivers accurate preliminary results in approximately 5 minutes. The Methadone Drug Test Card is suitable for workplace drug testing, healthcare facilities, rehabilitation centers, pain management clinics, law enforcement agencies, and home drug screening.

Two colored lines appear—one in the Control (C) region and one in the Test (T) region. Even a faint line in the Test (T) region should be interpreted as a negative result.
Only one colored line appears in the Control (C) region, while no line appears in the Test (T) region. This indicates that Methadone may be present at or above the 300 ng/mL screening cutoff. Any preliminary positive result should be confirmed using Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) or Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).
If no colored line appears in the Control (C) region, the test is invalid, regardless of whether a Test line appears. Repeat the test using a new test card.
