The iCup™ Urine Test Drug Screen Cup uses lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay technology to detect specific drugs and their metabolites in human urine. Once the urine specimen is collected directly into the cup, the sample flows across multiple test strips containing antibodies specific to each targeted drug.
When the concentration of a drug is below the screening cutoff level, both the Control (C) and Test (T) lines appear, indicating a negative result. If the drug concentration is equal to or greater than the cutoff level, only the Control (C) line appears, indicating a preliminary positive result.
At the same time, the integrated Specimen Validity Testing (SVT) evaluates Oxidants (OX), Creatinine (CR), and pH to help determine whether the urine specimen has been adulterated or altered before interpreting the drug screening results.
Because this is a preliminary screening test, all preliminary positive results should be confirmed using Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) or Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS)
Amphetamine is a prescription central nervous system (CNS) stimulant used to treat conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy. When taken as prescribed, it helps improve concentration, alertness, and focus. However, amphetamine is also frequently misused for its stimulating effects, making it one of the most commonly screened substances in workplace and clinical drug testing programs.
Amphetamines may be swallowed, snorted, smoked, or injected. Repeated misuse can lead to dependence, addiction, and serious physical and psychological health problems.

Cocaine is a highly addictive central nervous system stimulant obtained from the leaves of the coca plant. It is most commonly abused because of its ability to produce intense but short-lasting feelings of euphoria, confidence, and increased energy. Cocaine use can rapidly lead to addiction and is associated with serious cardiovascular and neurological complications.
The drug is commonly snorted, smoked as crack cocaine, or injected. Since cocaine metabolites remain in urine for several days after use, urine drug testing is widely used to identify recent cocaine exposure.

Two colored lines appear—one in the Control (C) region and one in the Test (T) region for each drug panel. Even a faint line in the Test region should be interpreted as a negative result.
Only one colored line appears in the Control (C) region while no line appears in the corresponding Test (T) region. This indicates that the drug concentration may be at or above the established screening cutoff level. All preliminary positive results should be confirmed using Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) or Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).
If no colored line appears in the Control (C) region, the test is invalid regardless of whether a Test line appears. Repeat the test using a new test cup
This 12 Panel + SVT configuration also evaluates urine specimen integrity by measuring:
These validity parameters help improve confidence in preliminary drug screening by identifying specimens that may have been tampered with or altered.
